
The WSI yacht, a Beneteau First 32s5, is a 10 metre yacht designed by Jean Berret and Philippe Stark and built by Beneteau. The yacht has been campaigned for the last number of years under the name Pepperbox and has had a number of successes on the offshore racing ciruit having won her class and overall small yacht trophy in the 2007 Dun Laoghaire to Dingle race and having finished third overall in the 2006 Round Ireland Yacht race.
The crew for this year's race include Cormac Farrelly (Skipper), Andrew Frazer (Watchleader and helmsman), Graham Frazer (Helmsman and trimmer), Doug Smith (Helmsman and Trimmer), Shane Farrelly (Medical Officer and Helmsman), Stuart Trotter (Trimmer and Navigation), Ger Cronin (Bow Man) and Colm Traynor (Mast)
